Voluminous gowns adorned with corsets that cinch waists and skirts, gracefully flowing capes, asymmetrical cuts, and meticulous drapings, make up the 32 pieces of Les Miroirs. Holographic materials create dazzling illusions and rainbows solely through reflections. Recycled plastic and PVC add depth to the designs.
Maison Rami Kadi presented its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, “Les Miroirs” in a fashion show held in the heart of AlUla. The show captivated the audience with a lineup of 40 exquisite gowns, including 10 pieces exclusively designed for the occasion.
Les Miroirs is born out of the magic behind the infinite horizons, the magical mirages, and the verdant oases that made AlUla’s known as “the world’s masterpiece.” Exquisite floral elements are repeated across the whole collection, rappelling AlUla’s flowers and the iconic shape of its leaves. Across the pieces, elegant patterns recreate rock inscriptions and other historical treasures left behind by travelers , pilgrims, and residents thousands of years ago.
Inspired by the reflective surfaces of Maraya, AlUla’s mirrored architectural wonder, Les Miroirs is defined by its reflective aestheticism. Shattered glass elements on the dresses allow for the shimmering effect of light on water and the multifaceted surfaces of diamonds. Sequins with reflective elements create a mesmerizing interplay of light and shadow.
